Information that stays on your device

We do not collect your date of birth. Choosing a zodiac sign is optional.

Your quiz answers, personality scores, mood history, nickname, optional zodiac sign, areas of interest, usage history, and reminder settings are stored only on your device. We do not upload the complete saved data file or the text of your readings. See below for mood and topic categories included in analytics from the older test app.

App analytics

Custom usage analytics are disabled in the native (SwiftUI) app. It does not send quiz answers, moods, topics, or reading text to our analytics service.

For users of the older Flutter test app

When analytics are enabled, the older test app sends the event names and properties below to our internally operated service at analytics.swingby.works. You can turn this off at any time in the app.

The service does not use cookies. IP addresses and device information sent with the request (User-Agent) are not stored; they are used briefly to generate a daily visitor hash for counting visitors. Because the hash changes each day, it cannot recognize the same person across different days. For app analytics, the stored fields are the event timestamp, event name, country, the fixed value "app" to identify app traffic, daily visitor hash, and event properties. Stored data is deleted automatically after approximately 13 months.

The analytics implementation is limited to the following event names and properties:

• quiz_complete — no properties
• result_viewed — mood: great / ok / meh / tired / anxious
• trail_viewed — no properties
• reminder_set — state: on / off
• weekly_viewed — no properties
• paywall_view — origin: weekly / deep
• deep_sample_used — no properties
• deep_viewed — worry: shinten / kimochi / fukuen / kataomoi / kenka / deai / jibun
• trial_start — no properties
• purchase — product: single

We do not include your nickname, date of birth, individual quiz answers, or reading text in analytics. The app does not use IDFA and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your credit card number or other payment details.

Website analytics

kokorocompass.app sends website usage data to our internally operated analytics service at analytics.swingby.works. The service does not use cookies.

IP addresses and browser User-Agent strings are not stored. They are used briefly to create a visitor hash for counting visitors. The hash changes each day, so it cannot be used to recognize the same visitor across different days.

Stored analytics data consists of the event timestamp, event name, the page pathname rather than the full URL, the referring hostname, country, device type, browser, daily visitor hash, and event properties. Stored data is deleted automatically after approximately 13 months.

Page views are recorded automatically. The custom events and properties are:

• quiz_start — no properties
• quiz_complete — no properties
• share — method: x / line / copy
• store_click — no properties
• quiz_cta — position: hero / bottom

Your quiz answers, scores, and results are never sent to our analytics. The share buttons, only when you choose to share, pass the "small step" sentence from your result and the quiz entry URL to the destination you pick (X, LINE, or your clipboard). Your answers and scores are not included.
